Research Interests

Darren's academic interests are at the interface of biology and geography, particularly in landscape ecology, conservation GIS and biodiversity informatics. His work integrates quantitative spatial tools into ecological research, and his interests include spatially-explicit population modelling, geostatistical species-range estimation, and GIS-based biodiversity assessment. He has also been active in field-based wildlife research, particularly on small mammals.
